boîte à outils
2011 - storage - gagosian gallery & galerie patrick seguin
In the initial series of furniture pieces designed for VIA’s Cartes Blanches project in 1987, the ‘Tool Box’ was an oversized steel box. It immediately gained recognition as an astonishing and emblematic object.
Having remained at prototype stage for over two decades, it has now been revisited for domestic use and put into production. The body is made of polished steel, with a black interior, and it is easy to open. It is a storage chest, bench seat, table and fantasy object at the same time.
