2003 - aperitif glass - suze
Even when empty, the glass evokes the presence of Suze by its colour: a simple glass cylinder with thick walls, whose coloured base spreads into the profile of the glass.
Drinking glass tinted yellow at its base, embodying the colour of Suze, even when the glass is empty. The same colour is reflected in the upper part of the glass as well as in the Suze signature branded on the profile of the glass, which comes as a surprise to your lips.
I wanted to create a glass that would be an extension of the bottle, so this glass is elementary. It’s linked in nature to the shape of the bottle, which has remained unchanged for a hundred years, and to its colour. I wanted to express the essence of Suze, hence the idea of a yellow glaze, which gives the impression that the glass is permanently full.
