2024 - RECEPTION & TERRACE
Counter of the reception
It is a counter whose manufacturing virtuosity contributes to the accuracy of the silence. A white mass of Calacatta marble, matte, veined with natural accidents, laid with the same grid pattern as the floor it extends. Like a discreet invitation to enter a space thought to welcome without ever imposing itself. The continuity of the marble is here the only necessary architecture.
The matte finish refuses the reflection, this one absorbs it and retains it. A presence that gives itself without ever showing off.
The layout of the veins obeys no elaborate symmetry. It was composed “in chaos”, letting the randomness of the grey lines answer each other from one panel to the next without ever repeating themselves. As if the stone had kept the memory of its own geological disorder, simply revealed, not corrected.
Counter on the rooftop
A curve of solid wood slats envelops the space like a wave held motionless. In reference to Riva boats. Each slat laid following the previous one until the matter remembers the tree. Each finish is a signature that carries a still-living memory in each of its assemblies.
The piece is monolithic in wood on the outside, without a break. It is this homogeneity that reveals its mass, its weight, its presence in the space. An emotional object, it tells nothing, it weighs, it exists.
Above, the mirror-polished ceiling closes the scene like a second sea, turned over. It doubles the roofs, the Mediterranean, in a reflection that seems to breathe with the city. The wood of the counter anchors this vertigo, warm and earthly, facing the cold and the infinite of the mirror.
