Designed for the auditorium of the Fondation Cartier, this seat dissolves into the chromatic unity of the space: entirely red, structure and surface become one, unifying into the continuity of the tiered rows, walls, and ceiling. A fragment of architecture rather than a piece of furniture.

An automatic closing mechanism folds the seat against the backrest: once released, each row returns to the flatness of a single red plane, giving the room back its full volume.
