Cedar<\/p>\n
The image is backlit, blurred and misty. It is an image of the cedar of Lebanon planted by Chateaubriand in 1823 and around which Jean Nouvel designed the Fondation Cartier project. The image is zoomed, pixelated, reframed, then divided into 10 rectangles that serve as the flooring\u2019s basis. All that\u2019s left of the original are vague hints. The images link up subtlely and form woven segments that can be combined in endless variations.<\/p>\n
