saint james - BOULIAC - FRANCE

1989 - hotel

Built for the chef, Jean-Marie Amat, on the banks of the Garonne and in the middle of a vineyard, Jean Nouvel’s Hôtel Saint James is a reinterpretation of the theme of the tobacco sheds of theBordeauxregion.

To enhance the pleasure of the panoramic view over the plain, Jean Nouvel has designed “very high” beds crafted from bleached beech wood. The set of lighting functions, bedside tables, and remote controls are integrated into the unit.
